PostSubject: Trial/Probationary App System   Wed May 08, 2013 12:23 am

If, for any reason, you are under suspect for odd behavior or for sharing info with someone on the No-Invite list, or any other reason (It will be explained to you why on your app) and you are still tagged anyway, you will not be tagged and made a member under the same circumstances as other players. For security reasons you must follow this outline:

1. Your Trial period will last 2-3 weeks depending upon your actions after tag. This is non-negotiable. There is no "Good behavior early out" stuff. You'll be Trial for 2-3 weeks, period.
2. For security reasons only one character will be tagged and will be permitted to join raids. What character is tagged will generally be up to you, however some circumstances may specifically exclude certain characters (EXAMPLE: If you are on Trial/Probation recruitment due to sharing info with a Do-Not-Invite. The character which is known to have it's info shared with said Do-Not-Invite will under no circumstances be the character initially tagged or brought on raids).
3. Regardless of DKP you may not bid on items on your first 1-2 raids (ATTENDED. NOT that have passed since your tagging)
4. Your actions will be under far far more scrutiny than a regular member/app. The slightest fuck up could land you without a guild tag.
5. you MAY or may not be tagged as a Gnoll Scout rather than Pup. Gnoll Scouts do not display guild tags. This is under the discretion of the officers upon tagging.
6. Your app will be on the board for 5 days total, rather than 3, before tagging.

If you survive the 2-3 weeks under this rule set you will be taken out of your Trial/Probationary position. At this point, and this point only, you will begin following the standard guild member procedure and Rank Promotion Policy (You cannot be raised in rank while under Trial/Probation and any raids etc attended during Trial/Probation will not count towards promotion once Trial/Probation is over.)

You may see me for further questions.

To clear up some confusion and a common misconception. This system and its rules are in place for trial/probationary apps only. Most applicants don't have to worry about this.

Who gets tagged as a trial?

In LoB, we believe that people can change and second (and sometimes third) chances. As time passes and wounds heal, our grumpy bunch might be willing to give folks another try. Rather than filtered to regular applicant status, it's made clear that there will be a trial period to see how the guild reacts and how everyone fits together.
